Listed and Registered Buildings
In both the Grand Duchy and the Belgian Province of Luxembourg, listed buildings are subject to strict regulation. We work in compliance with the requirements of heritage authorities and document every intervention.

Converted Industrial Buildings
Industrial halls, warehouses, workshops. These buildings combine old metal or concrete structures with brick or stone envelopes, and often accommodate ambitious contemporary programmes.
Our Technical Skills in Restoration
Traditional Masonry and Lime Mortars
We use aerial or natural hydraulic lime mortars for repointing, masonry repairs and renders on old buildings. These materials are compatible with the breathability of old walls.
Restoration of Natural Stone Facades
Appropriate cleaning (micro-jet, mild chemical products), treatment of cracks and voids, replacement of degraded stones with stones of the same geological type.
Conservation of Decorative Elements
Stucco, mouldings, surrounds, cornices. We work with specialist craftspeople for the conservation or like-for-like reproduction of original decorative elements.
Historic Timber Frames
Assessment, treatment against insects and fungi, reinforcement or partial replacement in keeping with traditional joinery assemblies.
Interfaces Between Old and New
When your project integrates contemporary elements into a heritage building, we master the critical interfaces: waterproofing, differential expansion, network continuity.

How does COMODO coordinate its work with Luxembourg and Belgian heritage authorities?
We participate in follow-up meetings with the heritage authorities (Direction des Sites et Monuments Nationaux in Luxembourg, Agence Wallonne du Patrimoine in Belgium). We document every intervention and submit reports according to the required frequencies.
Can COMODO propose substitute materials compliant with heritage requirements?
Yes. We have partnerships with suppliers specializing in restoration materials (natural lime, regional cut stone, reclaimed tiles). Any substitution is submitted for approval by the heritage authorities and the architect.
How are unexpected archaeological discoveries handled?
Immediate halt of works in the affected area, notification to the competent archaeological authorities, and awaiting instructions before resuming. Our teams are trained to recognize these situations.
Does COMODO work on religious buildings in Luxembourg and the Province of Luxembourg?
Yes. We have experience with religious buildings (exterior restoration, roof renovation, technical compliance upgrades), in coordination with church councils and diocesan authorities.
