Terraces, paths & access
Designed and executed to match your architecture
Terraces, paths and access worthy of your project.
COMODO delivers the hard outdoor surfaces of your high-end residential and commercial projects: terraces in porcelain stoneware, natural stone or wood, plus driveways and pedestrian paths. Controlled laying, calculated drainage, materials sourced to your specifications.
Frost-rated materials
Premium, sourced selection
Controlled drainage & gradients
Minimum 1.5% fall
Structure & waterproofing coordination
Built to your plans
A poorly executed terrace or path is one of the first visible defects in a delivered project: tiles cracking in frost, slabs lifting, standing water, a driveway fracturing under load. The cause is almost always the same: neglected substrate preparation, drainage or movement control.
COMODO builds your outdoor surfaces to your plans: a compacted, free-draining sub-base, calculated falls (minimum 1.5%), positioned expansion joints and materials selected for Luxembourg’s freeze-thaw cycles. On slabs or roofs, we carry out certified waterproofing before laying. Coordination with the structural works and buried networks is handled upstream.
Outdoor terraces & paving
We build your terraces to your plans and material specifications: large-format porcelain stoneware, natural stone, wood and composite, exposed-aggregate concrete. Laid on adjustable pedestals or a free-draining mortar bed, with controlled falls and joints.
- Large-format porcelain stoneware (60×60, 80×80, 60×120), exterior-certified
- Natural stone: slate, sandstone, limestone, granite
- Wood and composite: ipé, teak, wood/PVC boards
- Laid on adjustable pedestals or a free-draining mortar bed
- Certified waterproofing beneath terraces over slabs or roofs
- Expansion joints positioned as standard
Driveways & pedestrian access
We build your driveways and access routes to suit the anticipated traffic and your aesthetic requirements: setts, paving, exposed-aggregate concrete, stabilised gravel. Sized foundations, integrated drainage, careful finishes.
- High-strength concrete setts or natural stone (sandstone, limestone, granite)
- Large-format paving on a sand or free-draining mortar bed
- Exposed-aggregate concrete for driveways
- Stabilised gravel and permeable, infiltration solutions
- Foundations sized to traffic load (pedestrian to heavy vehicles)
- Drainage and falls calculated for each configuration
Frequently Asked Questions
Can COMODO build terraces and paths to the architect's plans and specifications?
Yes. We build the hard outdoor surfaces to your plans: setting-out, material choices, joints and falls. We work from your specifications (exact references, mandated suppliers) or propose validated technical alternatives, with samples supplied before work begins.
How does COMODO guarantee drainage and rainwater runoff?
All our terraces and paths are designed with calculated drainage falls (minimum 1.5%) toward sized discharge points. We install perimeter drains and slot channels where required.
How are expansion joints positioned on large surfaces?
Outdoor paving is subject to significant thermal movement. We position expansion joints every 25 m² maximum on terraces and every 4 to 5 metres on driveways, to prevent cracking and delamination.
Are terraces over slabs or roofs covered?
Yes. For any terrace above a habitable space, we carry out certified waterproofing before laying the finish, then lay on adjustable pedestals to preserve the waterproofing build-up. Test certificates supplied.
Can COMODO work on projects in the Belgian Province of Luxembourg?
Yes. We are active throughout the Belgian Province of Luxembourg : Arlon, Bastogne, Virton, Florenville, Marche-en-Famenne, as well as across the Grand Duchy, with the same execution guarantees.
