From Technical Study to Worksite Handover

Preliminary Technical Study
Analysis of the existing substrate or structural shell plans. Identification of critical points (expansion joints, parapets, reveals). Validation of system/substrate compatibility.

Panel Layout & Coordination
Detailed panel layout plans respecting modelling lines and architectural joints.

Materials Order & ATC
Ordering of materials from certified manufacturers. Colour validation on samples. Provision of Certified Technical Certificate (ATC) and fire and impact test reports.

Installation with Photo Traceability
Execution by manufacturer-trained teams. Progress photos and critical point photos (fixings, joints, junctions). Compliance with the coordination schedule with other trades.

Handover & DOE
Joint inspection before handover. Resolution of any snagging items. Submission of the complete As-Built Works File (DOE) with record drawings and manufacturer warranties.

We work exclusively with certified manufacturers who provide Technical Certificates and maintain their ten-year warranties on condition of installation by trained applicators. COMODO holds these certifications.

DTU & Technical Certificate Coordination
We know the French Unified Technical Documents and Belgian standards. Every facade system is installed in compliance with its Technical Certificate (Atec or equivalent European ETA).
Manufacturer-Certified Installation
Our facade teams are trained and certified by the manufacturers of the systems we install. This certification is required to maintain manufacturer ten-year warranties.
Dedicated Technical Point of Contact
Every facade project has a specialist facade works supervisor who knows the execution details and liaises directly with the architect and the inspection body.
BIM Integration & Panel Layout
We work in BIM with your models. We produce panel layout plans and integrate them into the model for coordination with other trades (joinery, canopies, balustrades).
Frequently Asked Questions
Can COMODO provide Technical Certificates (Atec) for facade systems?
Yes. We work exclusively with certified systems and provide Technical Certificates (French Atec or European ETA) as well as fire and impact test reports required by ten-year insurance policies.
Are COMODO's teams trained by facade system manufacturers?
Yes. Our facade specialists receive the mandatory training and certifications from manufacturers (FMG, Trespa®, Eternit®, StoTherm, etc.). These certifications are conditions for maintaining manufacturer warranties.
Can COMODO work on a separate-trade project if the facade is awarded independently?
Yes. We can act as the holder of the facade lot only, in coordination with the general contractor or the site manager. We then provide the facade execution plans and detailed layout drawings.
How does COMODO manage interfaces between the facade and exterior joinery?
We map out these interfaces from the preparation phase with the joinery lot. The waterproofing joints are validated in advance and documented with photos during execution. We participate in dedicated coordination meetings
Does COMODO operate in the Belgian Province of Luxembourg for architectural facade projects?
Yes. We carry out facade works throughout Luxembourg and in the Belgian Province of Luxembourg (Arlon, Bastogne, Virton, Marche-en-Famenne). We comply with the applicable Belgian and Luxembourg standards.
