Laser flatness control
A marble floor that sounds hollow, polished concrete that cracks after 6 months, warping parquet,
tiling panel layouts that do not respect the specified joints — these defects are always attributable
to insufficient substrate preparation or approximate installation.
COMODO delivers your floor and wall finishes with systematic substrate preparation (levelling,
smoothing, primer), strict compliance with your panel layouts and the use of appropriate adhesives
and mortars. Every substrate is laser-checked before installation and materials are sourced from
certified suppliers.
Our Technical Expertise
Substrate Preparation
Self-levelling screeds, smoothing compounds, specific bonding primers according to substrate type (concrete, plasterboard, anhydrite screed). Laser flatness control before installation.
Large Format up to 320 cm
Installation of large-format porcelain stoneware slabs (120×120 cm, 160×160 cm, 160×320 cm) using professional suction cups and levelling systems. High-performance C2 or C2S1 adhesives.
Custom RAL Polished Concrete
Application of polished concrete or microtopping in 3 layers (primer, body coat, finish) with custom RAL colour. Final protection with polyurethane varnish or natural wax depending on use.
Nailed Parquet on Battens
Traditional installation of solid hardwood parquet nailed onto adjustable battens. Planing, progressive-grain sanding, application of finish (natural oil, polyurethane varnish, wax).

Frequently Asked Questions
Can COMODO install large-format porcelain stoneware (160×320 cm) to the interior designer's plans?
Yes. We install large-format porcelain stoneware slabs using professional suction cups and levelling systems to guarantee flatness. The substrate is prepared with self-levelling screed and laser-checked before installation. We use C2 or C2S1 adhesives depending on the substrate.
How does COMODO guarantee the colour of custom polished concrete?
We systematically produce a polished concrete sample (minimum 50×50 cm) with the specified RAL colour for approval before application. The colour is integrated into the mix during blending and checked with a colorimeter. The final protective finish is adapted to the intended use (natural wax for dry areas, PU varnish for wet areas).
Does COMODO carry out substrate preparation before installing surface finishes?
Yes, systematically. We carry out self-levelling screeding of concrete slabs, smoothing of plaster partitions, and application of specific bonding primers. Flatness is checked with a 2-metre straight edge (3 mm tolerance) and by laser for bonded installations of large-format tiles.
Are the parquet floors installed by COMODO sanded and varnished on site?
Yes. We carry out sanding in 3 passes (coarse, medium and fine grit) with integrated dust extraction and apply the specified finish: natural oil in 2 coats, polyurethane varnish in 3 coats or traditional wax. The parquet is delivered ready for use.
Can COMODO supply the covering materials specified by the interior architect?
Yes. We supply all specified materials (Marazzi, Porcelanosa porcelain stoneware, Carrara or Calacatta marble, French oak parquet, Mercadier or Beal polished concrete). We provide technical data sheets and conformity certificates for the as-built documentation.
