Public & Institutional
Buildings
Schools, Sports Facilities, Public Administrations
Construction of public buildings in Luxembourg: rigour,
compliance and respect for the brief.
Public projects tolerate neither approximation nor delays. COMODO supports architects in delivering their public
facilities with an organisation tailored to the requirements of Luxembourg and Belgian public procurement.
Types of Public Buildings Delivered by COMODO
Educational and Childcare Facilities
Primary schools, secondary schools, boarding schools, nurseries and after-school centres. These buildings demand particular attention to acoustic performance, indoor air quality, circulation safety and the durability of finishes subject to intensive use.
Sports and Cultural Facilities
Multi-purpose sports halls, public swimming pools, performance venues, media libraries. We master the technical specificities of these programmes: acoustics, roof loads, long-span structures, technical facades.
Administrative Buildings and Public Offices
Town halls, municipal administrations, public service centres. These projects combine representative and functional requirements (flexible spaces, energy efficiency, universal accessibility).
Health and Social Facilities
Care homes, healthcare centres, specialist reception structures. These programmes require mastery of accessibility standards, medical technical installations and materials suited to hygiene constraints.
Technical Infrastructure
Pumping stations, bus depots, municipal workshops, road infrastructure. We work on technical buildings with the same rigour as on representative public buildings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is COMODO qualified for public procurement in Luxembourg and Belgium?
Yes. We hold the necessary qualifications to participate in public tenders in the Grand Duchy and the Belgian Province of Luxembourg. Our qualification files are regularly updated.
How does COMODO manage technical variants in public procurement?
We first respond to the base solution of the tender, then propose variants if the tender documents allow it. Each variant is priced separately and technically justified.
Can COMODO work on BIM Level 2 projects?
Yes. We accept and use IFC models provided by engineering firms. We participate in BIM coordination meetings and can produce our execution plans in a compatible BIM format.
What is the maximum project size COMODO works on?
We work on projects ranging from a few hundred thousand euros to several tens of millions of euros. Our organization adapts to the size of the project with team reinforcement accordingly.
How are additional works managed on public contracts?
Strictly through written work orders, signed by the project owner and validated by the architect before execution. No additional work is carried out without a prior written order.
